You made the same mistake as me... buying a Black car! Without the best colour for a car in the world, until it rains.   s:( :( s:(

I use Black colour magic type stuff most of the time but my car's that bit older so it needs it to keep up the finish.

There's a great polish you can get in (ahem) Halfords   s:oops:  s:oops:   called "Zymol" - a really good polish, it's pale green colour and smells of bananas and coconut!!! Has natural oils in and stuff. Even if you're not amazed by the finish, you'll LOVE the smell of your car afterwards and may even want to eat it!!!   s:lol:  s:lol:

TBH, there isn't a lot you can do, and I notice that lately the rain is carrying a lot of dust and sand too  s:( :( s:(

I now tend to wash the car every three weeks or so, and when it looks a bit grubby go over it with Meguiars spray shine, as it only takes 5 minutes and the results... well, ask the JAE attendees!  s:D :D s:D

Sounds about right. My brother has a black PT Crusier and it has put me off black cars for life. He washes it and it looks like he hasn't bothered.

I use Autoglyn Silicone Resin Polish, and every so often I also thro on a coat of Extra Gloss Protection for good measure - as a rule the rain marks aren't generally too bad (but I did get it A-glazed when I first got it too)

Not sure where the recent heat wave has come from, but I know in Cyprus where my parents now live, they have the same problem, a big ole heat wave followed by rain with SAND in it.  Its easy to explain for them, it comes from Egypt, but I get rain travels?

Its definitely a right old pain in the ass as I spent 3 back breaking sweaty hours waxing my baby on Sunday morning, for it to go to rat-shite today!
