This is the oil filter assembly on the T Sport engine, I'm in the middle of putting in my 2, is the small oil cooler setup standard? Is it effective?

Rich is correct - it's only fitted to colder climate cars (UK & Europe). Japan, US & Australian cars didn't have one.

I know on some guides it says to block the water rail and remove the oil cooler. I went with the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' approach and left mine on..

Makes it a little easier to grab the oil filter with it been a bit lower when it comes round to changing the oil  s:) :) s:)
Any landing you walk away from is a good one!

Its up to you Tim either keep it on as it warms the oil up faster and keeps it cool as well. However if you take it off completely you can get a sandwich plate and put a separate oil cooler on the car.

I think I'll keep it on, I can't afford an oil cooler since spending all my money on an Eliseparts baffled sump!!
