Hydraulic clutch, so its automatic...

Although pedal hieght and free play at the top of the pedal travel can be adjusted in the footwell...

New clutch by the sounds of it... although its very unusual as the car is only a year old. Warranty it, and dont believe any bull they tell you about clutches being consumable service items, and thus not covered by the warranty... clutches should last longer than a year.

Clutch slip on a '53? What have you been doing to the poor thing  s:?: :?: s:?:

How many miles have you done, and has the car been tracked at all?

This sounds like it could be a warranty job (at least the labour part of it anyway), assuming the dealership dont know you drove the car like you just stole it  s;) ;) s;)

I was thinking about clutches myself with the turbo on it's way, and I have to say that with 35k on the car ('02 plate) and a couple of airfield days, mine is as positive as the day I had it, so yours can't be right. Unless you drive with your foot on the pedal that is  s:wink:  s:wink:

Upto 9psi mine is fine. 12psi  s:evil:  s:evil:  and it's just starting to slip.Stock clutch still in, after nearly 2years of turbo. The stock, on a MT anyway, can take some punishment.

Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.
