Update on the Liverpool Victoria whinge: In the past month, Lloyds have informed LV that they won't underwrite any more policy amendments arising from modifications!

LV tell me that - while new alloys will "probably" still be accepted and existing declared mods are OK (valued customer & all that gubbins) - future mods WILL BE REFUSED. And get this.... if i buy another vehicle & it is anything other than stock, they won't insure me!    s:? :? s:?   s:shock:  s:shock:    s:evil:  s:evil:

Now, I aint high risk - I'm an old geezer who drives like a vicar with full no claims. So heads up to you all: if Lloyds underwriters are really behind this, it could affect non-LV customers too.

If you're speaking to your insurers in the near future, it might be worth checking their policy on this and letting us all know.

Seasons Greetings!

Changed to Link Insurance via Adrian Flux a month ago and they took all mods. Looking at the paperwork again, they appear to be in Gibralter!!

Since you can't get out of 2nd gear on the Rock, perhaps they haven't cottoned on yet.

Only joking - I hope!

TBH, I think most mainstream insurers are going to end up like this, and refuse to cover modified card at all. Their loss though, as there are plenty of modified-friendly insurers about like Adrian Flux and Brentacre who will be happy to get the business  s:? :? s:?
