I just love my mr2, I drive to the local shop via country lanes even though its quicker to walk. I rally drive it everywhere and constantly push it,- unless it's wet in which case I drive like a granny. Its just a great drivers car, and it's looks are a bonus. Does this fade after a while or are you all still besotted with yours?

Well i just bought another one  s:) :) s:) , so say no more  s;) ;) s;)  But i don't think it fades really, i've found with most cars you go through phases, but then all of a sudden, you have a great drive or just see her parked up and it all comes back in a rush or joy.

I have found a problem with the "reasonably mild" winter.

I normally drive about 8,000 miles a year, and since this was a second car I reckoned I would do the same mileage, but decided about 3K to the other (which I use to go to work, thus avoiding those who deface cars parked in side streets!), and 5K to the 2.

Can I keep it under the 5K (prorata). I was thinking my use over winter would be negligible. No way. I am begining to have to take the other when I don't really want to.

I've been told by my insurance company that I have a £53 discount for this mileage restriction, but it is either that or unlimited. I'll have to check out at renewal, and get a higher figure (either with this or another).

In the meantime since I am paying out sooooo much money on GBs, I am trying desperately not to spend the £53, maybe when Spring comes I'll have no option!

No one knows that, cause the '2 came out only 5 years ago  s;) ;) s;)
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Nearly three years on and I love mine more than ever - that's only going to get stronger when the turbo is in. I did falter last year and look at the 350z / RX-8, but I'm glad now that I didn't act on impulse  s:) :) s:)

Get a Power FC.  It's the best thing I've bought for my '2.  Next best: SSR Competition wheels.  In the inexpensive category: Corky's breastplate (an antiflex plate).
