Good morning folk, anyone know another way of opening the boot ? My lever doesn't seem to work   s:( :( s:(
Turned up at work this morning and have water running out of radiator   s:oops:  s:oops:
I got 15 miles to get it home/garage if I take it easy would the engine be ok?

Ud probably need to get under the front of the car and press the release.  Is it overheating?

Strange it didn't show as running hot :-/
Erred on the cautious side, booked into a garage and green flag recovering once I've finished work.

Is there a colour to the fluid and is your car an AC model.  Could it be leaking from the condenser?
Also check the rad bottle in the engine bay (left side)

Do you mean the front or rear "boot". I meant check the expansion tank in the back, my mistake

If you mean the engine lid (at the rear - opened via lever next to driver seat) as apposed to the frunk (at the front - opened via lever in glove box) I certainly don't have a boot  s:) :) s:)   then try following this: http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=44534&p=521738#p521741. You will need a 2nd person to open it after you pull the lever the first time (or jam something to keep the lever up), then just twist the two rubber stoppers anti-clockwise.

No problem. Hope it gets sorted in the garage. It's a boot on most cars, as long as you remember not to put your shopping in there you can think of it as whatever you like  s:D :D s:D

If you have a look through the plastic mesh trim you can see the cable, bend a coat hanger, slip through and pull. Worked for me. Then adjust the stop next to the catch to retension.
