Non Staggered Wheel Setups

From a visual standpoint how do non staggered wheel setups sit in the arches, and how do the wheels line up front/back?

I've trawled this forum and others and really cant find a lot of detailed information or pictures, ofcourse this hasn't been helped at all by photobucket recently. I'm well aware of the need to stagger good quality tyres whatever wheel setup is being ran but like may others before me no doubt I'm going a bit mad trying to find a set of wheels I like and can order in different widths, the current trend for ridiculous low offsets and ultra wide wheels doesn't help

Ideally I'd like 16's all round, I've found two sets of wheels that can be staggered in 15x6.5 and 16x7 that should be quite safe, but I'm afraid that the style of the wheel might make the front look tiny. I'd appreciate any photos of similar aftermarket setups as well as any running wheels with equal widths and offsets.

Thanks!

Might be worth contacting Demon Tweeks they sold me a staggered set of Rota's so may well also sell other makes too

Or team dynamics can make most sizes and offsets to order
Another one won't hurt  .....

I've had a good look through both of their ranges and still cant find much that would come in a staggered width, even running a lower offset at the back would help but they all seem to be oretty equal, even if running a 15/16 setup.

I've found a couple of sets that could potentially work, Sparco Assetto Gara in 15x6.5J and 16x7j both et37 which would have me at +14mm front and +8mm rear over stock, Then there's the Enkei GT7 in 15x6.5 ET42 and 16x7 ET38 which seems favourable front wheel are +9mm and rears +8mm over stock keeping close to the standard 12/13mm difference between front and rear spacing.

The problem with running for example a 7j all round with equal offset is that the front instantly becomes spaced out 13mm more than the rear.
I was hoping I could see some photos to prove that I may infact be obsessing over nothing, most of the cars I've seen on aftermarket wheels do seem to sit fine i'll admit.

I just need to decide between running a staggered 15/16 or square 16" setup. Wheels aren't cheap, not an easy call  s:lol:  s:lol:

Thanks!
They actually look really good and quite well in line front to back. I guess the factory wheels must be a little inset and the equal width thing just remedies it.

You just want to post pics of your car Bernie  s:) :) s:)

Rich, the more outwards positioning of the wheels has more to do with the offset. Bernie's looks to be about et38.
It makes the wheels look like they're filling the arches better.
And on that note, an opportunity for my show off pics...
That's 7j, et45 rear and et35 front. If I had to do it again I'd order et40 rear instead

I've got et30 15x7 pro race 1.2 all round and would go for a 16" et25 or 20 rear (or wider wheel) next time, no scrubbing and and low as I can go without grounding out too often over speed bumps, front arches are rolled by hand for when I was running 17s, not sure if that'd be needed or not for these 15s though.

Err..anything under et38 on 7j 16s will scrape on the rear. Granted with 225 tyres but still.
I know this for a fact, and on two different cars. Arch rolling necessary

Thanks all, both setups have put my mind at ease, the equal offset thing and my fear of 15's looking lost.

I'm now 99% going for some enkei's in 15x6.5 and 16x7 et38, I'll likely retain stock tyre sizes in AD08's. The idea of 16's all round faded when I saw the lack of choice in tyres for the front.

What I've planned should still look good, and be lightweight, retain some stagger whilst widening the track a little and hopefull not cause any rubbing.

Fingers crossed!

Very nice choice!
195 front and 225 rear does make for nice cornering mind  s:) :) s:)

That's my next little dilemma   s:lol:  s:lol:

I've 2 weeks to decide, having just ordered the wheels from MeisterR.
Edwin has so far been great, quoting me on my initial enquiry as the wheels aren't actually listed by them and turning out a good £70 cheaper than another site I'd found them on. He's advised a 2 week lead time as they're coming direct from the supplier. I'll need to leave photos and a quick testimonial in their affiliates page once they're on. Can't wait!  s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:
