Hey all,

I bought a set of s2000 seats recently. Hiwever I dont have the tools to cut drill and weld.

Anyone here know anyone that can help me get these installed? I am based in London. Happy to pay for your effort.

PM me if you like.

Thanks  s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:

Pretty sure 3 out of the 4 fixing points on the runners line up and you just need to make a simple bracket for the rear fixing on the runner nearest to the centre armrest. The other stu will be along shortly to correct me and post pictures as he did this a couple of weeks ago.
New little car to follow soon

Ex 2zz by Rogue. Se7en cams. BMC CDA. Competion clutches lightened flywheel, Megillian Racing Exhaust. TRD sportivo suspension and ARB\'s. TRD braces. TRD quick shift. TRD dash kit, Matts brace. Getting there but not sure when it will stop!

The Other Stu

I'll keep it in here rather than PM so that if anyone else needs to do this, they can!
I got the instructions from Spyderchat, but of course Photobucket have since held the Internet to ransom, so there are no pictures in their thread.
I've stolen this picture from my new friend Chalced. It shows the holes in the MR2

The front two will go straight in. No fettling or trouble.
The back two are slightly more challenging. You'll see that there is one that goes into the centre console.

The one on the right of this picture is slightly easier. You simply need to drill a new hole almost directly under the existing hole.

On the left hand side, you'll need to do something slightly cuter.

I went to Homebase and bought some galvanized steel like this;

Measuring the amount I needed, I sawed it off. I then "manipulated" it using a hammer to get the roughly right shape and drilled appropriate holes.

I'll be honest it's not pretty, but it works very well and it's very solid.

If you have as spare set of rails, you could take the rivets out and reuse the original bracket - this is the bottom of the OEM seats.

Thanks. I've PM'd you. No way I could do this without help.

After extensively searching the internet i found these pictures.  m https://www.flickr.com/photos/135555202 ... res/SsrM1p m
I believe they are from spyderchat. The pictures show both options of fitting the rear dodgy rail. One with the original rail modified to fil s2000 and another with a hole drilled through to body.

The Other Stu

Ah, they're the ones. They were on Photobucket originally.

This is what I meant about reusing the bit from the rail.

No welding required?

The Other Stu

None at all. Promise.

This is where one swears about dumping those "Useless" pfl fabric seats I had in the garden for 3 months   s:evil:  s:evil:    s:evil:  s:evil:    s:evil:  s:evil:
Also useful to note id that S2000 aftermarket seat runners are considerably cheaper than those for out cars. (About half the price)

How much are the leather seats going for these days? I'll be getting rid of mine straight after the conversion  s:) :) s:)
Probably with that piece missing on each rail    s:P :P s:P

The Other Stu

They're worthless without, hence why I'd not remove them. As per PM, we'll work something out.

Thanks.

I'll be a little patient then.
