Hi folks,
My roadster went into the garage to fix a small water leak. They found that it was leaking from an area of sealant behind the water pump onto the block.
I think they've sorted it but tried my AC today and the light on the switch initially turns on and then starts to flash.
Any ideas???

Might be worth seeing if there is anyone local with a code reader (or indeed get one yourself) to see if its thrown a hidden code - I am guessing the car has AC?! Might be something as simple as low pressure in the system meaning that its a fail safe to stop the system burning up.

In order to do that job, the timing cover has to come off.  While doing that, they may have disconnected the aircon pump.  It isn't required to unmake that connection, but I can see how it could have happened.  As these 'coincidences' rarely are, it might be worth having your mechanic check that.
If all they were doing is replacing the O ring behind the pump, that's not so likely.

Signifies an Air-con fault .

Are both plugs in place on the compressor? I had this when the small black magnetic clutch plug was not in.

I am going to take it back to the garage. I remember the mechanic telling me they removed the timing cover to repair the leak. Fingers crossed it's just a disconnected plug.

Hi folks,
Took the car into the garage today. They had disconnected an AC plug. Thanks for you advice.
