OEM wheel spec?

What is the OEM wheel spec? I know 15"/16" for the FL front/rear, but what wheel width and offset?

I actually quite like the OEM wheel, but I'm considering replacing my wheels as a cleaning misadventure has left them looking a little ratty and I want to explore all options :( I'll probably just refurb my OEM ones, but worth a little ask-around :)

What are the options? I'm very wary of narrow sidewalls, especially on coilovers... and also of over-tyring it (too much width) so I was considering (once funds allow!!) something like some OZ Ultraleggera's or similar... and then putting stock tyre specs on that, but they only go down to 7J, so not sure how that compares to OEM and if 185 section on the fronts is going to be too much of a stretch....

cool, so based on the sizes available int he Ultraleggerra, then 15x7J front and 16x7J wouldn't be too much of a stretch? pun intended :)

Looks like if you want the 15x6.5J, then the SuperTurismo are the only range that cover that size....

there's a lot of other things I'd rather be spending £800 on, but useful to have as a point of reference

I thought FL front was 15x6, same as PFL?

Have a look on advanti storms s1 15x7 front and 15x8 in the back. These are quite light and you can put on lots of tires on them. The others are just too heavy to throw big bucks on them. The oem ones are great at 6,5 and 6,8 kgs front - rear.

If you want to keep the exact sizes you could have a look on 2nd hand rota gt. My opinion is if you are going for new wheels you can get a better size as well.

Mitch has already posted the info, but you might like to know there is an OEM wheel specs thread in the reference section of the forum (along with a whole load of other useful reference info  ;)  )

I quite fancy some Rota Grids (can be bought seperately for about £135 each ) but the main thing that puts me off (apart from the not insignificant cost) is they also do not seem to come any narrower than 7J meaning my virtually as new 185 front AD08Rs would be too narrow (plenty of wheel & tyre charts on the net that will tell you 195 is the min width for a 7J wheel) plus I should imagine being an inch wider on the front they are going to be heavier than stock, so together with a wider tyre I suspect it will slow the steering a little and spending £540 to make the car's dynamics worse is not my idea of fun  >:D

It's at times like this I realise I need two MR2s....... :))

For the money, I think I'll get another set of FL's and refurb those - even the Ultraleggera's aren't much lighter! (approx 6kg, IIRC).

Advanti storms S1 in 15x8 are 11 pounds and they are pretty popular in Mx community together with 6ul wheels. And if we were in Murica we would have them for pennies...

FYI - update on the prices - I think I've found a freshly refurb'd OEM FL's with newish tyres for £200.
