Just fitted the above but I find there is no provision to refix the heatshield back on

Is this normal ?
Can I drive it without the heatshield ?

Any advise please

Pete

Yeah, just leave it off. The PPE is coated, so it heats the engine compartment less than the stock manifold anyway  s8) 8) s8)
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Not too sure about that, just bought some heat wrap due to the high temps under my bonnet!   s:( :( s:(

Never had any issues with the PPE, maybe because I don't have the drip tray? The bonnet is barely warm after a drive  s8) 8) s8)

(or maybe because I took the stock cat+muffler off and had just one freeflow muffler)

Never heat wrap with header because it's already ceramic coated. There's a thread on SC about it. Heat wrapping will actually strip away the coating. If you have heat wrap, don't coat. If you have coat, don't heat wrap.

But if you want added security, maybe you can ask Paul@PPE if a custom heatshield can be made.

Maybe I over looked it but my header didn't look like it was coated with anything, then again I've probably polished it away!   s:oops:  s:oops:

Only an idea but could it be a bad connection on your O2 sensors/leads?

Do you have any way to read the code Pete? That would tell you exactly what the problem is as opposed toi guessing. I bought one cheaply from eBay and now the car is heavily modified it has preoved invaluable.
