i've got a new flywheel going in soon and went to Mr.T this morning to get some new bolts p/n 90910-02103 but was told that will be £5.88,  each!!  s:shock:  s:shock:  bugger that for a game of soldiers  s:? :? s:?

does anyone know the type, thread pitch, length, etc, etc??

or even have an old one they dont want, otherwise i'll buy one and try to match it. I know Tem mentioned in an old post that the old ones would be fine but i'd rather swap them out even if it does cost £47!

Stu,

bolts are very specific to teh application  not just a case of matching teh sizes. your also talking about tensile strength e.t.c

they aren't cheap, but since they are officially use once only bolts, I deemed it safer to bite the bullet.

Dan, forgot, and thus far has got away with re-using, but you know my preference.

Normally I'd say "piffle" to the whole use-once thing (The 300ZX bolts are re-usable, if they could hold that on, etc etc).. Except for the fact that my old Renault had 'use-once' flywheel bolts and had had a new clutch before I got it..

When the (second) clutch finally went and the new owner pulled the gearbox off, the flywheel pretty much fell off the end of the crank.. Oops!

Stu, it's WAY cheaper to get a set of (arguably better) ARP bolts here -  m http://monkeywrenchracing.com/mwr_arp_f ... zz_ge.html m

It's worth getting a quote though - a few bolts could be dropped into a Jiffy bag and sent normal air mail.

*EDIT* I have just gone through the checkout procedure - $29 for the bolts, $61 for the shipping - what the hell are they playing at FFS!

The MWR online shop only quotes UPS shipping. They will ship through USPS if asked and that's like £10 or so.
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

probably right, the new manager there says he's going to be doing this though and apparently according to the plaque on the wall he won Toyota's mechanic of the year award, if that means anything  s:roll:  s:roll:
