Brakes are screwed

Hi guys, something wrong with my brakes...

well not sure if i need new calipers, discs and pads.. or just pads and discs..

the inner side of the pads on the front have grinded into the disc, there is only a fin layer of silver shine on the inside!! but the pads on the outer side are fine! about 50mm thick..

anyone had this problem and what do i do!!

is this on both sides of the car or just one side?

the discs and pads sound as though there knackered, but what i'm wondering is this a sticky caliper problem?

Sure sounds like it, or the pad itself...and may I guess he has driven on salted roads? s:? :? s:?

Best option would be to change the discs and pads, for both sides. But you may get away with it by just unfreezing whatever was stuck and letting the brakes clean themselves.

Ours are single piston on the front, aren't they? Could be the slide-pins that join the two halves together are frozen (dismantle, grease with high temp rubber seal safe grease).. though sliding calipers do tend to wear the inside considerably more than the outside (when we did Dans calipers, the inside was down to maybe 20% with the outside at 60-70%, and no reason to believe his calipers are sticky)

both sides at the front, if you rub your fingers along the disc, you can feel about a half inch line in the middle, just where they are working, the rest of the disc is rusted...

where do i get discs from??? how much do you think guys?

Come on, what are search engines for? Why not do your own homework. At least you have a starting point.

You can always buy cheaper ones on E-bay.

and will it happen again to the inner pads if i fit these?
