I was thinking silver when I said it actually Lee. Didn't want to curtail your enthusiasm and choices though.  s;-) ;-) s;-)

If you want I can photoshop something on there for you?

I think it would be interesting to see what the car would look like with black, white, silver alloys.   s:D :D s:D

This will end badly. He'll try and squeeze some yellow in there somewhere.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The VAG wheels look pretty good to me very flamboyant.

Silver is the way forward.

Cheers stu for doing the pics.

I agree silver looks better, you seemed to have caused me more work now!

I think I will change to silver but don't know when as I need the tyres off to do it properly. Might have to wait for a tyre change.   s:D :D s:D

If you wanted some different wheels on there, rather than changing the colour of your current ones, just holler and I'll knock it up for you.  s:-D :-D s:-D

A few little jobs to do next..

I've ordered a magnetic flow switch for the chargecooler which I'm going to wire up to a little led somewhere.
its pointless having a charge cooler if water is not going around it, so would like some indication that it's working.

Also at the weekend I wired up a voltage regulator and relay to the vtec output on the emanage to give a false wot signal for open loop under boost. I need to wire in an led and a resistor so I can see the voltage regulator is on and putting out the needed 3.9v, because if that relay clicks over under boost and I'm not getting the 3.9v my ecu is going to think my throttle is off and run very lean. A light for my own piece of mind really.
Also I am going to change this relay for a double pole and wire it up to a programmable relay. The programmable relay will be used to control a fan on the chargecooler radiator.
eg if it sees boost for more than 5 seconds it will run the fan for a minute. Thought it would help cool if I give it some welly.

I want to change my boost controller for an electronic one. I've been looking at the greddy profec, because I don't need all that boost for plodding around , so will have a high and low boost.

Did you primer or prep the paint on the metal panels or just spray straight on top of the orginal paint?

I've got a greedy profec boost controlled linked to the emanage.  It looks great and has loads of features but it's not brilliant at holding constant boost.   I've always found a simple grainger valve works best.

Yeah I've got a turbosmart one on now, holds boost really well . I could always change for the dual version of mine. I just wanted a high and low boost, so I can keep it on low for pootleing  around

I just flattened the stock paint and sprayed over it in black.

as for the wheels, i think you should go Anthracite or Body Colour 1 if you want different and exciting. Else go for common silver.  If you are going to go silver and you are handy with a spray gun, go for a course silver with a heavy flake, will look nice.

Maybe it's that his MRS is back or maybe I've just not been here to motivate him.
You know how lazy he is.

I'm still alive!!!

Been on holiday, just got back.

My bloody Saab has died though, had to get recovered from airport.
Tracked it down to the high pressure fuel pump, but I suppose those kind of things are expected... It done 180k

Also the mr2 keeps blowing, found the problem today

Changed the gasket but lasted about 40 mile before blowing again, the center stud at the bottom keeps coming loose, it's the only one that's not genuine T,  I lost the genuine one and used one I got with the decat manifold ages ago but I don't think it's any sort of quality

Is this a common problem with turbo's? as I regularly check nuts and things for shaking loose. The manifold is the only place around the turbo without some kind of locking nuts.

Any suggestions would be welcome, as I think my second gasket is soon to have a hole like the first.
