I have a quandary, I have been enjoying my MR2 for the last few months and the girl friend has been letting me get on with what I've been doing.
Now I like a beer or two and know the two (driving and beer) don't mix.
So I suggested to the girl friend (who does not drink) to try driving the MR2 in case I need a lift home sometime.
Now all of a sudden she started calling the MR2 "Our CAR" and holds onto the spare key.

I'm unsure where this will end, anyone any thoughts

Sounds like a win win to me!
I drive to the pub, swmbo drives home.
Mind you, I did have to buy her a car, so she doesn't try to nick the '2 when I'm not sitting in it  s:lol:  s:lol:
The Sun is out, the sky is blue,
The roof is down on my MR2,
And I\'m grinning, grinning ear to ear!

She sounds like a lady with excellent taste, I reckon they're both "keepers". I guess you know where that ends without us telling you?

Its all good...

Next consider what else you have that you would like her to share.  There are so many things but the iron, washing machine/dryer or perhaps the lawn mower are worth thinking about?

I have some experience of this, but the opposite way round. I lost my MR2 to my husband, it was sold and he got a better one, then I ended up having to buy another one for myself

From the pics I've seen, you ended up with a better one too!

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Do you know what's worse? A wife that CAN drive but WON'T!
She's insured on both the Merc and the MR2. She was previously insured on the Mokka and never drove it in the 3 years I had it. Or the Prius and Vectra before that.

She keeps telling me she'll try "driving one of the cars round a car park some time" and then might drive after that. This was about 6 or 7 years ago.
They're too big apparently   s:lol:  s:lol:

My wife has been in my car once, ever. She's never driven it. That's in 18 months I've had it on the road now.

She liked my impreza and 200sx, but she just never has reason to drive the MR2 (not that she needs reason).

Whatever is going on in the world?  Girlfriends who keep the keys to your car and children going out for rides? Next thing you know there'll be an orange, 3rd rate reality star running the world from the Whitehouse...

I remember the only time I asked my wife to just move the 2 up the drive while I moved the van, she got in it and for a small woman she has a misteriosly heavy right foot, luckily it was still in neutral or else a very quick exit from the drive would have ensued.
