Quote from: "ekona"Funny you should say that Liz, as I did have another quick look at your valve caps on Saturday, and they were definately all accounted for then...

Mark, my mileage on the day was 19120.

Great pics Steve   s:D :D s:D    That one of Stu in the 'body glove' is a corker!   s:lol:  s:lol:
I think mine sounds ever so slightly more 'grunty' but not much more.  Still nice to know that my pre-cats aren't going to blow the engine.

Guys,

This afternoon Mark insisted I stayed around the house for around 3pm  - as I had planned to go to the gym -  he suggested I  go later.

My initial thoughts were - not more car parts arriving that Mark needs a hand with unloading and storing.

No - it was a beautiful bouquet of orange and lemon flowers set in a bright green pot.  They are now pride of place in the bedroom - as the conservatory will kill them in one day.

To learn that they are a way of saying thanks from all that turned up last saturday to mess with their cars (my words mess!) was really good of you.  As we are still working our way through all the cakes and drink - that was sufficient -

I really appreciate that you took the time because feeding you all was really easy.

You are all welcome anytime - just bring a big smile - cause I am

many thanks enjoy the sunshine and I hope you are not cleaning or working on the MR2's

Christina

Chris

It was really amazing to be looked after the way we were.

Glad you enjoyed them, and of course we wouldn't be working on our cars on a day like this.   s:oops:  s:oops:  (hides sponge behind back)

Christina, you're very welcome!

Again, a very big thank you for both yours and Mark's most excellent hospitality.  Also, cheers to Mark for sorting the pre-cats out.  It was great to finally meet some peeps from this most excellent fountain of knowledge.

Hello!

Sorry to make such a late posting (went off to Dublin for my Girlfriends 30th), but I'd also like to say a huge thankyou to Mark and Chris for your excellent hospiltailty and for the meet; without which my pre-cats would still be intact  s:oops:  s:oops:    s:lol:  s:lol:

It was a most excellent day and it was great to finally meet some other club members.

My car has been fine ever since and definately has a meatier growl!

By the way Mark, my mileage was about 41500.

Sorry to run off so quickly after getting my pre-cats gutted, but I made it in time to see Jimmy Carr and he was ace!  s8) 8) s8)

I (complete with dB meter  s:wink:  s:wink:  ) should be going to JAE on the sunday, so i'll hopefully see some of you there...

Just had a quote to sort out the snapped heat shield bolt, £50, not too bad i guess, no one would straight weld due to the access, oh well. Needs to be done ASAP as the extra heat is marring the finnish on the TRD bars  s:( :( s:(

From your above comment Stu I guess you are currently running without a heat shield? I ran without mine for quite a while and the finish on the TRD bar was totally unaffected - now I am producing far more heat and my refinished stock brace is fine as well.

mine was re-powder coated a few months back and the coating was going slightly pinky in the heat, i've put the stock one back on and repolished the TRD bar back up but i've got to get the heatshield back on ASAP
